Brief description of the purpose of the privacy policy
Spinmama takes your personal data seriously. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, who we share it with (spoiler: very few parties), and how we keep it safe. It’s written to actually be read - not to sit in a footer and collect dust.
If you’re using Spin mama, this document applies to you. Simple as that.
Use of the information collected: to improve the site, optimize performance and analyze data
When you visit Spinmama, we may collect certain data automatically - your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and how long you spent on them. This is standard stuff. We use it to figure out what’s working on the site and what isn’t.
If you voluntarily submit information - say, through a contact form - we collect what you provide: your name, email address, and the content of your message. We don’t sell that. We don’t trade it. We use it to respond to you and, in aggregate, to understand our audience better.
Analytics data helps us see traffic trends, spot technical problems early, and make the site faster and more useful. We use third-party analytics tools for this, but the data they receive is anonymized wherever possible. Real names and email addresses don’t go to those tools.
Description of measures taken to protect personal data
We use industry-standard security practices to protect the data we hold. That includes encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls that limit who internally can see what, and regular reviews of our data handling procedures.
No system is 100% bulletproof - anyone who tells you otherwise is lying - but we take reasonable, proportionate steps to minimize risk. Sensitive data is not stored longer than necessary, and we audit our practices regularly against current standards.
We don’t store payment information on our servers. Spinmama is an informational platform, not a transactional one, so the data footprint is naturally limited.
Use of cookies
Spinmama uses cookies as described in our separate Cookie Policy. In brief: we use essential, functional, and analytics cookies. We don’t use cookies for ad targeting. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time via the consent tools on the site.
For the full breakdown of cookie types, storage durations, and opt-out options, check the Cookie Policy page directly.
Users’ ability to view, modify or delete their personal information
You have rights over your data. Under applicable laws - particularly for users in regions covered by GDPR or similar frameworks - you can request to see what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccuracies, request deletion, or object to certain types of processing.
To exercise any of these rights, just contact us. We’ll respond within 30 days in most cases. Complex requests might take a little longer, but we’ll keep you informed either way.
We don’t make this difficult. No forms with 14 fields, no runaround. An email to our contact address is all it takes.
